STEM Day at WDS this week was truly an extraordinary event. From the planning stages to it’s final execution, Mr. Kogut and Ms. Shapiro did an amazing job creating and facilitating the school-wide event, leaving both students and teachers truly captivated. The goal for each team was to build a bridge that could hold up a bucket of as many canned goods as possible. Students began with planning and building their bridges in the morning, then tested them. After, they rebuilt and re-tested their prototypes—and even their Ganon friends came to visit to help out! The students with the strongest bridges were presented awards created by the in-house laser cutter!
