Volunteers are need to deliver kosher meals to homebound individuals living in Mt. Vernon, Yonkers and New Rochelle. Sponsored by Westchester Jewish Community Services, the Kosher Meal Program operates Monday through Friday from Sinai Free Synagogue in Mt. Vernon where meals are picked up by 11:30am. The HIR Clothing Drive will take place on from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm .Please sort and bag separately men’s, women’s and children’s clothing in sturdy garbage bags. We also are collecting blankets and quilts. Please bag those separately. Deposit clothing in the truck that will be stationed outside the HIR. Volunteers are needed. Jews for George: An Exploration of Judaism in the Age of the American Revolution

Co-sponsored by YU’s Center for the Jewish Future and YU’s Zahava and Moshael Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought.

This three-part course, led by Rabbi Meir Soloveichik, will utilize original source documents form teh archives of the Congregation to explore Judaism during the American Revolution. Fee $150 by April 15, after $180.
